About Dr. Elma Hedderman MB. BAO. Bch. BA, MCPsychI.
A consultant child and adolescent psychiatrist, Elma has worked with the HSE in Dublin and Kildare for the last twelve years. Prior to that, she worked in the NHS in Belfast, Bristol and Sussex. Her experience as a general child and adolescent psychiatrist working within busy child and adolescent mental health inpatient and outpatient services has included extensive training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, Mindfulness Based Self-Compassion and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. She is currently involved in research on the development of self-compassion in adolescents as an adjunctive treatment for Depressive Disorder.

About Dr. Veronica O'Doherty PhD,.M.Phil.MSc,.BA
Veronica works as a principal psychologist and has worked as a psychologist in the health service for over fifteen years. Prior to that she taught psychology and was also a general nurse for many years. Veronica has been practicing meditation for over twenty years and finds it to be an invaluable method of learning. As a trained psychoanalytic psychotherapist, her work includes individual psychotherapy, group mindfulness based cognitive therapy and chronic disease programmes. Veronica believes compassionate healthcare is the first step to healing.

About Niamh Digan M.Ed, BSc Couns & Psych, B.A, Dip Couns, Dip in Ed Leadership, H.Dip in Ed,
Niamh has worked with the Department of Education and Skills national teacher support services for the past ten years. She has held a regional and national brief for the delivery of Child Protection training to school principals and Social, Personal and Health education to very experienced as well as newly qualified teachers. Prior to this she worked for many years in post primary schools in Dublin as a teacher and guidance counsellor. In addition to a career in teaching and teacher education, Niamh is also a qualified psychotherapist and has trained in Person-centred and Psychodynamic therapy as well as Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction and Cognitive Therapy. She is a registered member of the Teaching Council and an accredited member of the IACP.
